【Key to deliciousness】
Yoshida Chaen's Kukicha Hojicha is roasted in a short time (about 30 seconds) using the increasingly rare "sand roasting" method. In the past, "sand" from Abe River in Shizuoka Prefecture was used, but now "fine ceramics" are used instead of sand. By adding the tea leaves to the high-temperature ceramics and roasting them together, the tea is roasted in a short time. The tea temperature reaches over 150 degrees Celsius, and the ceramics are removed by sieving. Therefore, any fine tea particles must be removed during the raw material stage. Since no fine tea particles are included, there is less astringency, and you can enjoy a wide range of flavors, from short extraction (30 seconds) that yields a sweet aroma and rich lingering taste to long extraction (2 minutes) that brings out richness and depth.
