This Japanese black tea was produced in the year prior to the latest release. Its flavor changes depending on the aging period.
Q. Differences between sencha cultivars
At Yoshida Tea Garden, we produce sencha from 6-7 different cultivars. (The specific cultivars may vary from year to year.) We capitalize on the unique characteristics of each cultivar, selling them as single-origin teas, and the product name for each sencha is the name of its respective cultivar.

Generally, it takes 3 business days, but it may take 5 business days or more during busy farming seasons. We appreciate your cooperation in purchasing with ample time.
Q. The difference between powdered tea and matcha
Powdered tea is a product made from powdered "Sencha" (green tea). Matcha is made from powdered "Tencha" (tea leaves for matcha), and their production and processing methods differ significantly.
Compared to matcha, powdered tea has a milder sweetness, umami, and aroma, but it is characterized by its refreshing taste.
Like matcha, it can be enjoyed by dissolving it in hot water or making a latte.
Q. Best before date
Sencha is good for one year. Japanese black tea and Hojicha are good for two years.
Q. Parking
Yoshida Tea Garden has parking available at its tea shop "OMOYA", tea house "HANARE", and sauna "NAYA". (Approximately 10 spaces in total) Please note that depending on the crowding, you may be directed to a parking lot other than the one closest to each establishment.
Q. Price
Some customers may find Yoshida Tea Garden's teas "expensive." At Yoshida Tea Garden, we focus on producing small quantities of high-quality tea. Due to the limited production volume and the extensive labor involved from production to sales, we have set our prices accordingly.
We are committed to providing tea that truly satisfies our customers, diligently working with both our products and our patrons every day. We appreciate your understanding.
Q. Cultivation method
At Yoshida Tea Garden, we cultivate tea in a way that is gentle on the environment, people, and the tea itself. We use the minimum necessary amount of two types of organic fertilizer, and pest control is only carried out for a limited period after harvesting, allowing us to produce tea that meets even the strict EU standards for pesticide residues.
We are currently in the process of switching cultivation methods to obtain organic JAS certification.
